EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAM

Vox Musica is committed to supporting music education!

MISSION:

•           To Establish Relationships and Create Partnerships.
•           To Foster an Appreciation and Understanding of Music.
•           To Increase Exposure to the Choral Arts

PROGRAMS:

MASTER CLASS
Vox Musica works with existing choruses, in schools, through coaching, mentoring, master classes, workshops, side-by-side events, pairing chorus and student singers, choral festivals, and competitions. Participants can sharpen their vocal skills and learn about performance practices – all taught in a nurturing, supportive way.

MUSIC AND CULTURE EXPERIENCE
Learn about the beginnings of choral music as Vox Musica offers fun and imaginative presentations that bring music history to life through songs, instruments, and storytelling. Each program provides a window into a different time and place.

RESIDENT CHORAL ARTIST
Vox Musica can partner with a local music program to offer them a Resident Choral Artist to enhance their music program. One of Vox Musica’s Choral Artists will hold a residency with your school or music program and make multiple visits to your classroom/rehearsal, for the creation of a project, or as enrichment for your music program. To apply for a Resident Choral Artist please contact Vox Musica. (Limited to available funding)

STUDENT COMPOSER COMPETITIONS
Periodically Vox Musica holds a young composers competition to encourage new compositions for women’s voices. The winner from this competition will receive an award, a performance by the ensemble, and feedback on their work from judges.

LEARN & HEAR LECTURE SERIES
Our audience members have the opportunity to hear special lectures, discussions and demonstrations on our music just prior to selected concert. To attend one of these programs look for announcements online, in our brochures and communications.

NEWSLETTER
Our published newsletters get distributed to schools and music institutions. Music students and music lovers learn more about us and our music through scholarly articles written on music topics and interviews with living composers.
