PROJECT TWO: Fragility of Goodness: Music from the Balkans

As always, Vox Musica jumps into the musical unknown with their highly anticipated concert project in February that will be a unique cultural experience of Balkan and Georgian music. Joining us for this performance is Sacramento’s very own Zado European Music Ensemble (www.zadosings.org) and Balkin music specialists from UCLA, Ivan and Tzvetanka Varimezova.

XCONCERT: Nisenan Concert @ The Crocker Art Museum

The NISENAN: A Cultural Music Project had such an impact on our community that we have been asked to perform it at the Crocker Art Museum as part of their WHEN I REMEMBER I SEE RED an American Indian Art and Activism Exhibition. The exhibition features contemporary art by First Californians and other American Indian artists with strong ties to the state such as Rick Bartow, George Blake, Dalbert Castro, Frank Day, Harry Fonseca, Frank LaPena, Jean LaMarr, James Luna, Leatrice Mikkelsen, Karen Noble [Tripp], Fritz Scholder, Brian Tripp, and Franklin Tuttle, as well as emerging and mid-career artists. Vox Musica will be presenting their NISENAN Music project as part of their show.
