2023-2024 Concert Season

Now, more than ever, we need to be innovative, lean in,
and create opportunities for access, acknowledgment, and recognition.

This season will explore new and innovative repertoire.

We open our concert season with holiday music for piano and Women’s chorus.
In the spring, we focus on innovative choral performances with a concert project showcasing rare and intriguing instruments.
We close the season with a performance that highlights the rich talents of our choral artists;
each Vox Musica Choral Artist will be showcased in a Recital of Voices.

XEVENT: Social Event for
Patrons & Alumni

Community is at the heart of Vox Musica, so we curated a special social event just for you!  On October 7, we will be hanging out at Bike Dog Brewery (Broadway Location Taphouse). This event is designed to connect our ensemble with our alumni and patrons and to kick off our eighteenth concert season.  At the event, we will share some libations while learning about Vox Musica’s legacy and hearing more about the amazing concert projects we have in store this year. Oh, and yes, we will be singing some beer-drinking songs. Individual tickets and season passes will be available at a discounted rate for those in attendance. Join us on October 7, 2023, at Bike Dog (915 Broadway #200, Sacramento, CA 95818) anytime from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. All are welcome, and it is kid and pet-friendly.

DARKNESS TO LIGHT:
A Vox Christmas

This concert focuses on the transition from darkness to light. We begin in darkness, singing our beloved arrangement of Silent Night, which speaks to the need for peace and light. We close by singing Dan Forrest’s “Lux,” a multi-movement work that reminds us that there is always hope for light and peace, even in the worst times of war and strife. Join us for a concert that evokes the full embodiment of light (both earthly and ethereal) that we desperately need in our lives.
