Paul B. Salzberg
Paul B. Salzberg is a versatile pianist, composer, and educator based in Sacramento. He currently serves as a Lecturer in Music at California State University, Sacramento, where he teaches keyboard skills. A dedicated collaborative artist, Salzberg is the Class Accompanist for the Sacramento Ballet Company and School and serves as the Staff Accompanist at Sacramento City College, providing musical support for vocal students and choral ensembles.
In addition to his residency with Vox Musica, his performance credits include work with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra and CSUS Symphony Orchestra, as well as improvisational masterclasses at the California State Summer School for the Arts. As a scholar-performer, Salzberg’s research focuses on the underappreciated works of Charles-Valentin Alkan and Jewish ethnography of the nineteenth century. His compositional catalog includes short film scores, art song, choral works, and solo piano literature.
Salzberg holds a Master of Music in Keyboard Performance from CSUS where he studied with Kirsten Smith and Richard Cionco. He previously studied with William Becker.
